Since its founding in 1993, Creek Environmental Laboratories has steadily grown in capacity. Our staff includes 15 employees with Bachelor's or advanced degrees in Science, and well over a century of collective analytical laboratory experience. DIVERSITY OWNERSHIP: Orval Osborne, the owner, is a member of the Creek/Muskogee tribe. His status as a Native American enabled certifications with the SBA 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) programs, and as SDB and Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) with CalTrans. As President, Orval Osborne creates the vision of the company dedication to client satisfaction. He is involved in strategic initiatives and financial decisions. He is also a valuable resource for customers over a broad range of inorganic and organic methodologies. Mike Ng, Lab Director, personifies excellence in analysis. Mike maintains a tireless emphasis on quality control. He has twenty years of experience in California State certified environmental laboratories, including twelve years in upper management of the laboratories. Mike has in-depth knowledge of EPA analytical methods and related environmental regulations. He draws on his bench-level experience in analysis of a variety of organic and inorganic pollutants, including TPH, VOC, SVOC, PCB, Chlorinated Pesticides, Trace Metals, and a variety of other chemicals. MaryAnn Long, Laboratory Manager, maintains an unceasing emphasis on quality control. She has over twenty-five years of experience, including ten years at Creek Environmental Laboratories, performing Metals, Wet Chemistry, Bacteriological and Organic analyses, including ICP, ICP/MS, IC and GC methodologies. Ms Long is responsible for the laboratory completing the work accurately and on time. She also functions as quality assurance manager. The Laboratory Manager reviews incoming work, and arranges for its timely completion. She also trains laboratory technicians in our Standard Operating Procedures.
